Our trainings break down complex federal benefits into clear, practical information that employees can understand and apply to their own retirement planning. From employees just beginning their federal careers to those preparing for retirement, we help your workforce better understand their benefits and the decisions that can impact their financial futures.

Federal employees have different educational needs depending on where they are in their careers. We offer several training programs that allow agencies to provide information appropriate for their phase of life.

• Pre-Retirement Training:  For employees within 5 years of retirement eligibility. Our most comprehensive retirement-focused training is designed to help employees approaching retirement understand their federal benefits and the important decisions they may face before separating from federal service. Topics can include retirement eligibility, pension calculations, TSP, Social Security, FEHB, survivor benefits, and other important retirement planning considerations. Pre-Retirement training can include both CSRS and FERS as applicable and provided as a 1-day or 2-day training.
• Mid-Career Retirement Training: For employees with approximately 10 or more years of federal service. Retirement may still be years away, but decisions made during the middle of a federal career can have a significant impact later. This training helps employees understand the benefits they have accumulated, where they currently stand, and the areas they should be considering as they continue progressing toward retirement. This can be conducted as a 1-day or 2-day training.
• Early Career/New Employee Benefits and Retirement Training: For employees hired within the last 5 years. Understanding federal benefits early can help employees make more informed decisions throughout their careers. This training introduces employees to the fundamentals of FERS, TSP, Social Security, insurance benefits, and other important components of their federal benefits package. This is provided as a 1-day training.
• TSP & Retirement Training: For agencies looking for a more concentrated retirement training, this class focuses on two of the primary components of a federal employee's retirement income. Employees gain a better understanding of their FERS pension and how their TSP savings can complement their other retirement benefits. This training is commonly conducted as a half-day training.
